The last step in the S-FIL™ process is to separate the template from the substrate without compromising the polymerized relief pattern left on the substrate. Since the template is pre-treated with a 'non-stick' release layer, separation occurs easily, as demonstrated by MII through hundreds of imprints using the same template without pattern failure.
