| Start of Nanoanalysis Project |

After intensive preparations, the Carl Zeiss Dresden Innovation Center was opened on November 6. At the same time, the starting signal was given for the joint Nanoanalysis project in which Carl Zeiss SMT is developing analytic products for the microchips of tomorrow together with Qimonda and AMD.
