The facility is run by the authorities of the Aue-Schwarzenberg district in Saxony. More than two thirds of the annual attendance of over 30,000 are school children, the rest being tourists and the town's adults. The annual "Schneeberg Day of Astronomy" are a special event. On three days in autumn visitors are offered lectures, exhibitions and discussions on astronomical topics and enjoy the friendly “Schneeberg atmosphere”. |
