4DOME use Sony's SXRD technology (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display). Developed for the electronic cinema, the SRX projectors have three separate imagers (RGB) to optimize tonal values and contrast.
Obviously, the high-end projection technology must be matched by high-performance optics. 8 million pixels sized 8.5 µm each need to be transferred to the dome surface in sharp focus and without any losses. Carl Zeiss has met this challenge by designing the DIGIGON 115 projection lens. | |
