Asahikawa, the second largest city on the island of Hokkaido, has one of Japan’s biggest science centers. Opened in 2005, the main attraction is the planetarium.
Its new Carl Zeiss projector replaced a Carl Zeiss small-dome planetarium, which had successfully performed in the service of knowledge transmission since 1963. |
