Metals – stamped without burs, multicoated, partially tempered, electroplated – are the materials of our choice. We choose them because of their long-term durability under extreme stress and varying ambient conditions – the compact mechanisms hardly allow of any tolerances for the individual components used. Even after several thousand release actions the opening time must be constant.Ring for the base in the electroplating shop

If the stress is too high or we want to enhance efficiency further, we fall back on high-performance materials some of which have already proved their excellence in our space technology products. Apropos space: 11 Hasselblad cameras - fitted with Prontor shutters – are still on the moon. Left behind after a successful mission.
